Farmers Bank

Farmers Bank was established in 1917 in Buhl, Idaho. In 1918, J.C. Hamilton proceeded to procure the majority of bank stock and became the first of what is now 4 generations of bankers to run the family bank. Now with 6 branches throughout the Magic Valley, Farmers Bank’s personal commitment to serving and supporting the people of southern Idaho has never wavered.
In 2020, Farmers Bank facilitated the founding of “Racing for Charity”, a fundraiser to help smaller charities and non-profits in the Magic Vally with fundraising efforts. Hosted in May, the event hosts a live broadcast of the Kentucky Derby Race as well as dinner, games, and a live and silent auction.
Guests are encouraged to dress in traditional Kentucky Derby attire with all net proceeds from the event going back to 20 local charities: ranging from children and senior services, animal shelters, land preservation, and low-income health clinics, just to name a few.
In the 3 years since its inception, the Racing for Charity event has raised over $640,000 for local charities in the Magic Valley!
